Helping “Carve” Space to Bring the “McTwist” and “Goofy-Foot” to Philly

Located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the heart of Philadelphia, Paine’s Park is a huge step forward in Philadelphia’s move towards creating a more skate‐friendly city. The project was first conceptualized in 2002, and nine years later, became a reality with the integral help of NorthStar. NorthStar’s coordination with State and City stakeholders, PIDC as well as negotiations with the Carpenter’s Union were key towards the successful completion of this project.
