Bringing a Project Within Budget Doesn’t Mean Sacrifice

Home 9 Project 9 Bringing a Project Within Budget Doesn’t Mean Sacrifice
The Ann and Richard Barshinger Life Sciences and Philosophy Building was a new four-level academic building serving as the home for the Philosophy, Psychology, and Biology departments. This project included site and building development, as well as storm sewage facility and paving. Upon being hired to perform cost estimating services, NorthStar quickly realized the project was grossly over-budget. After careful analysis, the team worked quickly to identify and tighten up the “holes” while identifying value engineering options for Franklin & Marshall. Through our efforts, this project was completed within the original budget numbers.
