Compromising Between A Big Vision and Tight Budget

Home 9 Project 9 Compromising Between A Big Vision and Tight Budget
Located in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia, The Center for Art in Wood, formerly known as The Woodturning Center, is an international arts institution, museum, gallery and resource center, that supports and develops the field of lathe-turned and wood art. When the need was identified for a larger, more visible facility, the Center hired NorthStar as their Owners Representative to develop cost estimates, budgets and project oversight. The Center’s leadership had a big vision but limited budget and NorthStar’s study identified ways to bring the cost of their new facility more in line with their available funding though value engineering options.
