Ready, Set, Go! … So They Can Learn!
NorthStar has partnered with Mastery Charter Schools and Master Charter Schools of Camden on over 30 projects for 20 of their schools in Philadelphia and Camden. With the ongoing projects we’ve managed for Mastery over the span of 11+ years with tight budgets and construction times limited to when students are not in the building, NorthStar provides an on-site project manager to respond quickly and creatively manage unexpected issues. One of the most recent projects, Mastery Prep Elementary, included the renovation of a building that sat unused for over 10 years.
Some additional projects we’ve completed for Mastery over the years include, but is certainly not limited to:
East Camden Middle School: One of our most recent projects for Mastery. Our team constructed a brand-new entrance, which gives their students a brighter, more welcoming start to their school day. The simple addition of the entrance has changed the very fabric of the neighborhood; neighbors have gone from living across from a comparatively drab building to a more modern piece of architecture.
Lenfest Campus Middle School: Lenfest was Mastery’s first campus and needed an expansion to accommodate two additional grades. NorthStar managed the design phase for an expansive renovation including a new gymnasium, second story addition, and relocation of major mechanical equipment.
Pickett Campus Middle School: NorthStar was involved with this project since the design development phase. We provided assistance with material and system selections, enabling the owner to consider long-term maintenance costs. The building underwent a three-phase renovation.
